Welcome to the Quantitative Systems Physiology Lab at the University of Georgia!

The focus of our lab is on the collaborative development, application, and sharing of dynamic mathematical models of physiology and pharmacology, particularly in cardiovascular and metabolic disease areas. Our main areas of focus are:

1. Applying models of pathophysiology and pharmacology to better understand disease processes and therapy mechanisms
2.Towards “Personalized Evidence-based medicine”: exploring the role of pathophysiologic heterogeneity on response to drug therapy
3. Promoting user-friendly, interactive model-sharing tools and processes for communicating modeling insights, particularly to non-modelers
4. The ultimate goal: collaborative development of dynamic physiologic models as accessible and user friendly technologies for research, education, and public health
